Nowadays, most photos are taken with your smartphone. Always at hand, quick and easy. And of good quality too! Many new phones even have multiple lenses: a standard lens, but also a telephoto or wide-angle lens. Want to go scuba diving or snorkeling with your smartphone? We offer a range of underwater housings for smartphones in our assortment. The housings are, just like other underwater cameras, expandable with a tray and lamps.

Divevolk Seatouch 4 Max PLUS for smartphones

The Divevolk Seatouch 4 Max underwater housing for smartphones is currently the most popular option. It's no wonder, as the unique feature of this housing is that almost all functions of your phone are usable underwater via the touchscreen. All camera functions of your smartphone can be operated just like you would above water. The possibilities are nearly limitless: you can use your phone's compass and timer, consult documents, take notes, type something for your buddy, review previous photos, view a map or blueprint, read a sensor via Bluetooth underwater for scientific purposes, and even make an emergency call as soon as you're above water. All of this works with the phone still inside the underwater housing. You can even read a book or watch a movie during a long decompression stop. Your smartphone can be used underwater as a camera, but also for communication and entertainment.

The maximum depth is 60 meters, and the housing weighs only 375 grams. It's available in black, pink, grey, or platinum. No special app is required, as you can simply use the app of your choice. Inserting the phone into the housing is very easy, though it’s important to remove any screen protector beforehand.

The housing is compatible with many smartphone models, as a unique adapter is made for each type of phone. Divevolk Seatouch 4 max PLUS - Ocean kit

The Divevolk Seatouch 4 smartphone housing is also available in a special Ocean Kit. This is a special package that includes the smartphone housing, a wide-angle lens, and a color correction filter. With a color correction filter for your lens, you can bring back the vibrant colors in your photos taken in tropical blue water. Without a color correction filter or additional lights, underwater photography in tropical blue water will always have a blue tint in your photos. After all, colors fade as you go deeper.

By using the DLW-02A wide-angle lens, you can focus up to 4x closer to your subject, reducing the amount of water and debris between your camera lens and the subject. The magnification underwater is 0.6x, allowing you to capture more in close-up shots. The lens also helps correct distortion.

Sealife Sportdiver SL400 / SL405

This underwater housing is made of polycarbonate combined with aluminum and stainless steel. It weighs only 641 grams, making it convenient to take on trips! Underwater, it is nearly neutral in buoyancy, depending on the phone you put inside. The maximum depth is 40 meters.

The phone is very easy to place in the underwater housing and simple to use. The back of this housing is completely transparent. On the front, there's one large shutter button, and on the back, there are four control buttons. The buttons are spaced far enough apart to be operated even with gloves on. The Sportdiver has dual leak detection. Before use, you need to install the free Sealife Sportdiver app. It is a user-friendly and comprehensive app. The housing communicates with the phone via Bluetooth. During the dive, you can easily switch between photo and video modes. To prevent the inside of the housing from fogging up due to humidity, it is recommended to use the anti-condensation capsule "Moisture Muncher" to minimize humidity and reduce internal condensation as much as possible.

Planning a dive trip? Bringing an extra O-ring in your luggage ensures that you can always replace it yourself if you accidentally damage it. For example, if your nail catches on the O-ring during cleaning, you'll be very glad you thought of a spare O-ring! Speaking from experience here ;-)...

What is the difference between the Sealife Sportdiver SL400 and Sealife Sportdiver Ultra SL405?

The Sealife Sportdiver SL400 was succeeded in May 2024 by the Sealife Sportdiver Ultra with the item number SL405. The new ultra model features a horizontally positioned lens port, allowing it to fit larger smartphone models. Almost all Android phones and iPhone models, including the larger Max and Ultra versions, are compatible.

The package with the light previously had the item number SL401, and the new ultra version now has the item number SL406.

Advanced settings

Creative snorkelers and divers can use the optional advanced settings of the camera app to capture their photos or videos. These include: zoom, exposure (EV), automatic/manual focus, white balance, color tint, lens selection, RAW + JPEG mode, live photo, and background blur (on supported phone models). For better image results in tropical blue water, the SportDiver features a removable color correction filter that restores natural underwater colors. The filter can easily be attached or removed underwater and comes with a safety cord to prevent loss.

Double leak alarm: Moisture alarm and Vacuum Pressure alarm

We completely understand that you want to be certain your smartphone is safe underwater. The SportDiver features a DOUBLE LEAK ALARM, which includes an internal moisture alarm and a vacuum pressure alarm. It alerts you with an on-screen display, an audio signal, and an LED indicator. Using the included vacuum pump, you can create a vacuum inside the housing. The built-in pressure gauge in the housing provides a display on your phone screen, ensuring that you've reached the correct vacuum level. You then wait for the vacuum system to confirm that no pressure change has occurred, so you can confidently take the set underwater. The housing is sealed with a TPE O-ring and a robust cam-lock closure, which securely and easily seals the waterproof door.

The Sealife underwater housing for your smartphone is also available in a set with the Sea Dragon 2500 light. With additional lighting, you can restore the colors, making your photos and videos significantly more vibrant. The wide beam angle of 120 degrees can be adjusted to three settings and is operated with just one button, making it very user-friendly! With an output of 2500 lumens, the light lasts for 60 minutes at full power. The set comes complete with a tray.

Batteries and chargers

The underwater housing SL400 comes standard with AAA batteries for Bluetooth. It’s certainly convenient and eco-friendly to have spare rechargeable batteries and a charger.
