The RED® KOMODO-X™

The RED® KOMODO-X™ camera features a 6K Super 35 sensor with up to 16 stops of dynamic range. R3D files (REDCODE RAW) can be recorded directly to CFast 2.0 cards, eliminating the need for expensive proprietary media. It also features Canon's new RF mount with full support for the Canon EF to EOS R lens adaptor, allowing a wide variety of focal lengths to be used. The RED® KOMODO-X™ is second in size only to the RED KOMODO, making it one of the smallest form factors in the RED Digital Cinema Lineup. This compact size is ideal for professionals who require high-end specs in a travel-friendly package—such as underwater filmmakers. The RED® KOMODO-X™ is equipped with the next generation of imaging sensors, featuring completely overhauled sensor architecture, updated pixel design, and significant improvements in both detail and color in shadows.

The Nauticam RED® KOMODO-X™ Housing

The Nauticam RED® KOMODO-X™ housing is designed for compactness and ease of use, offering a travel-friendly system. It integrates seamlessly with DSLR lenses and the N120 port system, providing an intuitive, tool-less setup. Quick lens changes and battery swaps are possible without removing the camera.

Lens Support

Compatible with RED RF-PL adaptors, the housing includes a locking RF mount for added security. The Canon EF to EOS R Adaptor is fully supported, and the left side features a command wheel for smooth ND filter adjustments. Lens changes are fast and require no tools. However, when switching between RF and EF lenses, you must remove the camera from the housing to adjust the RF to EF adapter.

For cinema lenses, the system supports the 16410 N120 to N200 Port Adapter, enabling quick lens changes, even in the field.

External Monitor Support

Supports mounting the SmallHD Ultra 5 or Ninja V monitor using the Nauticam NA-Ultra5 Housing or Nauticam Atomos Ninja V-S Housing, connected via SDI bulkheads for flexible monitor placement.

Vacuum Check and Leak Detection System
