The OM System Tough TG-7 is the successor to the popular Olympus Tough TG-6. High image quality, light-sensitive f/2.0 lens, super macro capabilities and 4K video (also vertical). With special underwater programs and charging via USB-C.
The OM SYSTEM TG-7 is a rugged camera that serves as an excellent foundation for a compact underwater camera system with outstanding image quality and superior macro capabilities.
The camera is equipped with special underwater programs and can be used with the optional underwater housing to depths of up to 45 meters. The TG-7 even has dual-layer protective glass on the front lens to prevent fogging.
The camera itself is also waterproof, making it highly suitable for poolside or rainy-day photography. However, for snorkeling or diving, the underwater housing is essential.
It not only increases the maximum depth to 45 meters but also provides additional protection against scratches, salt, sand, and more. Furthermore, the housing's buttons are larger and much easier to operate underwater. The underwater housing also offers expansion options for flash units, lights, wide-angle lenses, and handle trays for stable and comfortable handling.
Five different underwater shooting modes optimize settings for various scenes: Underwater Wide, Underwater Snapshot, Underwater Macro, Underwater Microscope, and Underwater HDR. Additionally, the white balance modes Underwater: Shallow, Middle, and Deep automatically adjust based on the underwater shooting mode, but manual adjustments are also possible.
Vertical video is also supported on the TG-7, so videos recorded in a vertical orientation on the camera are saved as vertical video files, making them easy to share on social media without the need for editing software.
The TG-7 is equipped with a USB Type-C connection for convenient and fast battery charging.
The high-speed back-lit CMOS image sensor, anti-reflective coating on both sides of the sealing glass, and TruePic VIII image processing processor ensure exceptionally high image quality. The bright F2.0 lens with 4x optical zoom and RAW support further contribute to this.
The macro system offers close-up capabilities as close as 1 centimeter from the edge of the lens with a maximum image magnification of 7x, enabling stunning macro photography. Other features include Pro Capture Mode and Interval Shooting with Time Lapse Movie generation.
The Tough TG-7 excels in close-up photography, with an impressive shooting range of just 1 cm from the edge of the lens and a maximum image magnification of 7x (35mm equivalent). In addition to the Microscope mode, Microscope Control mode, and Focus Stacking mode, there is also a Focus Bracketing mode. With these capabilities, (underwater) photographers can capture beautiful images of tiny subjects that are (almost) invisible to the naked eye.
The camera is freeze-proof down to -10°C, dustproof, capable of withstanding falls of up to 2.1 meters, and crushproof up to one hundred kilograms.
Other features:
Built-in GPS, air pressure, shooting direction, and temperature sensors. This model is equipped with a Field Sensor System that automatically records location data (latitude and longitude), temperature, water temperature, altitude (water depth), and shooting direction tracking data while traveling. Load this information into the OM Image Share (OI.Share) smartphone app to link and display the route traveled along with the altitude (water depth) in recorded images.
Pro Capture Mode starts recording 0.5 seconds before the full shutter press and continues sequential shooting at 10 fps, making it convenient for capturing shots that are difficult to time, such as flying insects and a milk drop coronet.
Interval Shooting supports up to 299 shots. After shooting is complete, a Time Lapse Movie is automatically generated. In interval shooting, users can set shooting interval priority and exposure equalization processing to deal with sudden changes in exposure between frames.
The optional RM-WR1 Wireless Remote Control enables remote shooting and is weather-resistant.
The Tough TG-7 is equipped with a Construction mode, making it an ideal choice for business purposes as well.

AOI Q1 Ultra Compact Strobe (UCS-Q1) Black
Manual compact underwater strobe. The UCS-Q1 Black strobe has a guide number of 22 and a wide coverage of 85 degree with diffuser.
The Control panel of the UCS-Q1 is kept simple with just two buttons and a single knob. The knob controls the power setting; the maximum brightness is at number 7 or the equivalent of Guide Number 22. Keeping the strobe to only manual function means that when used with an automatic compact camera, it is easy to obtain the desired the brightness. Just adjust the brightness of the strobe to match the exposure of the camera. The strobe has a very useable beam angle of 85 degrees with the diffuser on.
The left button activates the continuous light function, which has 3 power setting. The different power settings can be obtained by cycling through the button. The highest setting is at 700 lumens which is bright enough for macro shots or even as an underwater torchlight. The continuous light also works as a focus light, allowing for quicker focusing and determining the desired strobe position. In keeping with the concept of “My First Strobe”, the simplicity aspect extends to the ownership experience and maintenance. The buttons and knobs are clearly labelled – making it easy to control, even with gloves on.
The battery compartment is secured with a screw-on cap that is sealed with two o-rings to prevent accidental flooding. Should the battery compartment flood, it does not affect the electronic compartment as the two are kept separate and preventing a hefty repair bill. The strobe is powered by two 18650 lithium batteries, which offers a up to 2000 flashes on a single charge and provides consistent power delivery, even at low levels. The strobe is equipped with power stand-by and auto power-off features to conserve power and increase the lifespan of the strobe.
