New version: The LSD Ultimate is an upgrade to our successful LSD prime with improvements to the optical system and a completely new aluminium housing which is up to 100g lighter.
LSD stands for Light Shaping Device. A very special accessory for your underwater strobe. The LSD enables you to expose a self-chosen shape. A razor sharp small square or just the eyes...all is possible.
The LSD solves the limitations of traditional and fiber optic snoots and adds interesting new features. The combination of lenses and optical elements enables incredible exposure of a part of your subject, in the shape that you prefer, from a fair distance...not scaring shy underwater creatures.
By turning on the pilot light you can see accurately how the image will appear. This way you can quickly find the right position for your LSD and start shooting.
Left image is with the light beam focused. The focus point is at 175mm from the edge of the LSD (in water!). Right image is with the light beam slightly out of focus.
