#1 - Two lights in one: Flood and Spot!

The lamp can be switched between wide-angle and spot lighting using control buttons. The beam angle is 100° for wide and 30° for spot. This is convenient because it allows you to easily switch from wide to spot and spot to wide by holding down the on/off/light adjustment button. It is possible to use spot light for looking around while diving, and then switch to wide as soon as you want to start taking shots. The Spot has the advantage of consuming significantly less power than the Flood. So you have more time underwater to look for your ideal subject before switching on the big widebeam.

#2 - COB light with the most beautiful possible ideal 'central light distribution'.

The light source is COB (LED), which has an established reputation for even light distribution. The original design adapts the COB into a donut shape. The broad light source is placed on the donut and the spot light LEDs are placed in the centre of the emitting surface (the donut hole). Whether broad- or spot-lighting, the optical axis is at the centre of the emitting surface and ensures optimum illumination at all times.

New type of 'COB'.
'COB' is a type of LED. It is short for 'Chip on board', and as the name suggests, multiple LED chips are placed directly on the board. Because multiple LED chips are arranged in a concentrated manner, high luminance is achieved. A large area can also be illuminated evenly, as the light is emitted through a surface. SEA&SEA is the first in Japan to put 'COB' in the shape of a donut. Even with a lot of light, shadows are less likely to appear in the centre, resulting in even light.

#3 - Clearly prevents multi-shadows thanks to the COB LED.

COB eliminates 'multi-shadows' in both wide-area and spot lighting. The natural shadows bring out the subject clearly and sharply, making it an ideal light for photography and video lighting.

Multi-shadows
Shadows unique to LED lighting. When an object is illuminated by LED lighting consisting of numerous luminous sections, unnatural multiple shadows are produced, different from those produced by sunlight. Multiple shadows can obscure the outline of an object and reduce its visibility. Single light source COB does not produce multiple shadows.

# 4 - Four or 100 steps light adjustment, with memory on switch-off for both light sources.

4-step light adjustment (in steps of 25%)
For a 4-step light adjustment, press the on/off/light adjustment button when the light is on. It circulates between 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% per press to adjust the light intensity according to the situation. The light intensity is clearly visible with % display.

100-step light adjustment (in steps of 1%)
Light adjustment in 100 steps from 0 to 100% is performed using the light intensity adjustment buttons on the left and right sides. Subtle adjustment is possible in increments of 1%. The digital % fine adjustment display is clearly readable on the display.

Memory function
The LX-Lights are equipped with a 'memory function' that makes the lamp retain the setting in which it is switched off. As soon as the lamp is switched on again, it will be in the same setting. which turns on again with the same light intensity as when the lamp was switched off. It is especially useful when recording video, as it turns on with the same light intensity as when the lamp was switched off.

#5 - Built-in (switchable on and off) flash detection sensor for use with an external flash. 

The Sea & Sea LX lights are equipped with a 'flash detection sensor' that detects the flash light from the external flash, and then at that moment automatically turns off the light briefly and then turns it on again a second later. Because the light turns off in response to the emission of the flash light, the video light does not affect the shot when spot light is used as a focus light, for example. The wide light can be used to search for subjects or view the surroundings and take shots without worrying about uneven exposure or colour fading.

#6 - Power change by replacing the lamp head!

The LX light series all have the same housing. The lamp heads are compatible. The LX2400SW FS lamp head can be used as a housing of 2400 lm and the LX-4000SW FS lamp head can be used as a housing 4000 lm when set to the LX-1200SW FS.

*Adjustment of the setting is required after replacing the lamp head.

#7 - Two battery charging options. 

The compact body accommodates the large-capacity Li-ion battery of 3400 mAh. It can be charged in 2 ways.

1.Charging via exterior lamp

The battery can be charged directly by connecting the supplied special charging plug at the back to the remote control connector (magnetic pole) at the back of the housing while the battery remains connected to the housing. As there is no need to remove the battery from the housing, there is no risk of leakage due to improper closure of the lamp.

2. Charging via battery, without lamp

The battery can be removed from the housing and charged directly with the charger. This allows you to work with 2 or more batteries. When the lamp is in use, the spare battery can be charged at the same time.
*It is also nice to know that the battery can be removed when taken as hand luggage on the plane.

#8 - Easy-to-read panel display and convenient operation.

A variety of functions are displayed on a highly visible colour LCD screen. 'Light intensity' and 'remaining illumination time', most important underwater, are largely displayed on the same easy-to-read screen. Light intensity can be adjusted with control buttons while viewing the panel display. When the remaining battery is low, it automatically reduces the light intensity to 20% and the battery indicator flashes. The display shows '10min' and starts counting down.

Additional functions and views 

The lamp is prepared with features to prevent potential problems and provide assistance during unlikely emergencies.

Safety mode: When the battery is low, the light intensity is automatically reduced to 20% and the battery indicator flashes. The display shows '10min' and starts counting down.

High temperature protection mode: If the lamp head reaches a temperature of 55 °C (131 °F) or higher during operation, it automatically switches to protection mode and reduces the light intensity to 20% of maximum.

Flashing signal mode: It flashes rapidly by holding down the light intensity adjustment button (+) and the on/off/light adjustment button simultaneously for about 2 seconds. Useful as a signal to your buddy or signals during night dives.

SOS mode: It flashes as an emergency signal for rescue in SOS mode by pressing and holding the light intensity adjustment button (-) and the on/off/light adjustment button simultaneously for about 2 seconds.

#9 - Wide range of mounting adapters

Multiple adapters are included in the package. Such as the Gun grip to use the lamp as a hand lamp. And also 4 mounts, YS-mount, Ball mount, GoPro mount, and a Loc-line mount which can be used to mount the lamp in the desired way on the arm or housing.

Each attachment should be securely fixed with base fixing screws once inserted into the base holder of the lamp.
